Today is Memorial Day in the United States. I figured a pair of pictures would be worth two thousand words. These are shots from the bloodiest battles in American history.

  1. You forgot the Meuse-Argonne offensive in 1918. Everybody forgets this action although with over 26,000 dead and almost 100,000 wounded it’s a far better candidate for America’s bloodiest battle than Bastogne and Antietam put together.
